 SurgeonTube.com is a web-based community for all physicians, dentists, physical therapists, researchers or anyone else within the medical professions. Here medical professionals or students can upload video and PowerPoint presentations to share with colleagues and the general public for educational purposes.  SurgeonTube.com offers several simple to use tools to allow users to quickly find presentations, and also allows contributors to manage their own presentations quickly and easily.

• Each presentation's transcript is indexed, and made available for plain english style queries.
• A 5 star rating system where only medical and dental professionals can rate the presentation given
allows other professionals to give quick feedback on the presentations. 
• It allows these same people to leave comments and respond to comments on a given presentation.
• The general public can browse the site and use the ratings and comments to help discover treatment options that can be discussed with their doctor/care giver.
The presentation owner has the ability to remove comments that are inappropriate, or misleading.
• The presentation owner can remove his/her own presentations from the site at his/her discretion.
• Uploaded presentations and video will be converted from their original format into a format suitable for playback over the internet.

Note: In order to preserve the integrity of the website, after presentations have been uploaded to our servers they will not be made available for viewing (other then to the uploading physician) until SurgeonTube has verified that the contributing user is a legitimate medical professional, or student and that the presentation does not violate any of the terms and conditions for using SurgeonTube.com.

Advertising:
Surgeontube.com recognizes the contributions made to medical science by medical research corporations, pharmacutical companies, and other commercial entities and welcomes contributions from corporate sponsored professionals.  Surgeontube.com also offers a very robust advertising package allowing advertisers to target their ad to specific categories, keywords, and even geographic locations.

What is Beta? Beta testing is when a website is presented to the public during the late stages of development. This allows the website to be used, and tested in a real world environment to help the developers find any problems that may not have been identified in initial development and testing of the site.
